The tanned male found himself drifting in and out of sleep the whole day. His body felt heavy as did his eyelids. Regretfully so as he could neither focus on his work nor his beloved who returned home from class only to find him lethargic to say the least. He tried to stay up for her but in the end the battle against him and his need for sleep won over. It took him a while to figure out that it was the link at work and not his actual body failing on him. (He actually gets scared easily when his body malfunctions.)
He didn’t want to be a bother with his half-not-making-sense words fueled by his drowsiness so he opted to stay on the bed, facing the wall as he blinked slowly, sending little thoughts to the Little one on the other end of the link for support. Not that she was answering.
It was then that his cellphone beeped, the small bulb indicating a message’s incoming. A small quirk to the brow before he flipped it open, the words and the recipient made him smile inevitably. He glanced slightly over his shoulder to see his beloved brunette typing away on her laptop before he turned back around, typing up a reply and closing his cellphone.
Really. Is there anything she does that doesn’t make him react so accordingly? Its usually a smile that she manages to put on his face.
A smile that she usually manages to put on his face (or any other person’s face he might point out), with perfect ease.
